I've always found Bruce to be one of the best at telling a story through song, and that continues here. For the most part he stays faithful to his classic, awesome sound, but he doesn't really do anything too interesting with it here. This album is full of solid, decent, traditional Bruce tracks, but nothing really special. This album had the tough task of following up the brilliant "Magic" and was a bit of a disappointment after that. I'd probably like it more than I do if it hadn't had to follow "Magic" but at the same time, I'd also probably have given it less of a chance had "Magic" not been so amazing.

Starmania	***** Ja, das geht mir ähnlich, habe mehr erwartet. Das klingt alles sehr ähnlich und ist irgendwie schon mal dagewesen. Es fehlen ein bisschen die neuen Ideen, wie ich finde. Aber seine tolle, emotionale Stimme und die Melodien sind schon klasse, wenn auch nicht extrem abwechslungsreich!
remember	**** Ich habe nicht mehr erwartet, denn seit den 90ern hat der Ex-Boss nicht mehr allzuoft meinen Geschmack getroffen. Hier gehts wischen Gemütlichkeit und trotzigen Rockversuchen recht gut dahin. Outlaw Pete ist als Opener auch für den Rest unschlagbar, Last Carnival läßt traurige, nachdenkliche Momente aus Nebraska wieder aufleben, "What Love Can Do" schmeckt mir gar nicht.. Mit einer 4.5 minus sein bestes Album seit zumindest 1995. Laatst gewijzigd: 07/08/2012 00:23

Werner	***** Wo Springsteen draufsteht ist auch Springsteen drin! Bei diesem Album trifft dies jedenfalls haargenau zu. Solides Handwerk eines guten Musikers, belohnt mit fünf verdienten Punkten.
