Dan + Shay / Justin Bieber - 10,000 Hours

These collaborations between country artists and artists who regularly make the main charts are becoming so frequent of late that they no longer surprise me. So I wasn't taken aback at all when I heard this song was upcoming. I was also pleased when I heard this and discovered that the collaboration hadn't changed Dan + Shay's sound; this fits seamlessly into their catalogue. That's not surprising, since this laidback kind of pop/pop-country isn't really too far from the sound of some of Justin's past work anyway. It's a genre he works well in, and because it's one which appeals greatly to me, I'd like to see more of it from him. Justin's vocal contribution is great, his voice is well suited to the song and the vocals of all three blend together nicely. The song has quite a sweet sound, and a lovely melody through the verses. The chorus is also quite catchy.
